The unit has two full field digital mammography units and are linked to computer aided detection. Stereotactic and core biopsies as well as localizations of non-palpable lesions can be performed under mammographic control. Breast ultrasound is performed and may be used to assist in biopsies and localizations of palpable lesions. Bone densitometry for osteoporosis scanning is also available within the unit.
