Mr Khan is a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal Marsden Hospital. He obtained his specialist surgical training on the South West London Specialist Programme. Following inclusion in the specialist register, he obtained post-certification experience in two high volume international centres of excellence: University of Tokyo Hospital and St James University Hospital, Leeds prior to taking up his consultant post at the Marsden.
Mr Khan works closely with a team of gastroenterologists, radiologists, medical and radiation oncologists to provide treatments that are individually tailored to each patient. Throughout his career, his clinical and research interests have focused on minimally invasive gastrointestinal surgery and surgical oncology on which he has lectured nationally and internationally. He has authored >50 peer reviewed articles and participated in national trials on pioneering treatments.
Mr Khan is part of the select panel of clinicians nominated to draw up national guidelines for management of cystic pancreatic tumours.
