Mr Brian Cohen is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in surgery of the shoulder, elbow, wrist and hand. He qualified from The Royal London Hospital in 1982 and trained in Orthopaedic Surgery in London and Cambridge where he completed his MD thesis. Following a year as a fellow in at the Sportsmed Clinic in Adelaide, Australia, he was appointed Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at University College Hospital NHS Trust in 1995. In 1997 he was awarded the European Travelling Fellowship for the British Society of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery. He worked as Clinical Director for Musculoskeletal Services at UCLH and then left the NHS in 2004 to pursue a career solely in private practice.
Mr Cohen has extensive experience in undertaking arthroscopic surgery of the shoulder, including subacromial decompression, rotator cuff repair and surgery for shoulder instability, prosthetic shoulder replacement and surgery following trauma. He also performs a wide range of hand surgery including treatment of Dupuytren's Disease, surgery for arthritis and carpal tunnel decompression.
